Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent plus 2years of ITI Certificate course in Electronics
OR 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Age: between 18yrs to 23yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400

3. Constable (Telecommunication): 91 Nos.
Post code—03.
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with Science
Age: between 18yrs to 23yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400

From total vacancies, 10% of vacancies is reserved for Ex-Serviceman.
Upper age relaxation: Age will be counted as on 20-06-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

Physical Standards: —
Height: 170cms (162.5 cms for ST);
Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded): 80/ 85cms (76/81 for ST);
Weight: Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards.
Eye Sight: 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without wearing glasses
cut-off in height and chest for Hill areas candidates and of North Eastern region is as per norms. Refer the Advt. link given below.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection of the candidates will be through verification of documents, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PST), Written Examination and finally Medical Examination.
The candidates shall be issued Admit Cards to appear in recruitment test. The date and venue of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit Card.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) —
1. 100 Mtr Race to be completed in 16 seconds.
2. Long Jump of 11 Ft in 3 chances.
3. High Jump of 3 ft 6 inch in 3 chances
4. 800 Mtr race to be completed in 4 Minutes.

Written Examination will be of 100 marks  which compromise multiple choice objective type questions. The written examination will be held on OMR based Answer Sheets. The duration of written examination will be 2 hours. Candidates will be required to record their answer in OMR sheet with blue/black ball point pen.
Written Examination will be on followings topics/ subjects —
For ASI and HC: General English/ Hindi (25 marks), General Knowledge (25marks) and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & basic Electronics (50 marks)
For Constable (Telecommunication): General English / Hindi (25 marks), General Knowledge (25 marks) and Science subject (50 marks)

The candidates who qualify the Written Test will be put through detailed medical examination strictly on the basis of merit of written examination. For details, refer the Advt. link given below.

How to Apply: Apply on prescribed application format with Admit card. The application form along with the attested copies of testimonials in support of Qualification, Age, Caste, Etc. Must be addressed to the below address.
Application Fee: Candidates must also pay Application Fee of Rs.50/- in form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of —Accounts Officer, SSB, FTR HQ, Lucknow and payable at – SBI Branch, Lucknow (UP).
Candidates must enclose the draft alongwith their application form.
No application fee required for SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman candidates.

Attested copies of following documents be attached with the application form: —

  • Educational Qualification Certificate.
  • Technical qualification/experience certificate.
  • Date of birth certificate (Matriculation or 10th pass certificate)
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/OBC Certificate issued by an authority not below the rank of Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar or SDM.
  • Questionnaire duly signed by the candidate as per Annexure-VI (See the below url)
  • Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities for verification of citizenship.
  • Discharge certificate in case of Ex-servicemen.
  • Two self addressed envelopes of 4”x9” size with Rs. 25/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.
